A majority of the project will be paid for up front, according to Bowman – the airport receives funding each year, which he says he has put back until now:

In other council matters on Tuesday, the city approved an agreement to allow the city to seek financial grants through the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission, and a dumping privledge agreement with Bobby Ryan Jr., which allows King John’s Portable and Septic of Thayer to use the city’s wastewater treatment plant, and in return the city gets four portable toilets through the year.

A public hearing was also held on the MHTC agreement and the approval of Town and Country Taxi as a vehicle for hire company. No one came forward for either hearing, and Town and Country Taxi was later approved for a city business permit.
